Pharmaceutical Company Preparing to Release Cannabis Extract

Biotech company Cannabis Science, Inc. announced today that they have finished production on their first line of drugs extracted from cannabis plants and are currently packaging the product for commercial sale later this month. The drugs will initially be released through the company's labs and one state-licensed medical marijuana dispensary in Colorado.

Dr. Robert Melamede, Ph.D., the Company's CEO, said, "We hear from so many people wanting a reliable, high-quality formulation that they can self-administer to treat a wide variety ailments. A quality, standardized formulation is essential for long term care. As far as I know, we have the only formulation made from organically grown cannabis bud, and produced in a professional, Colorado State licensed, laboratory facility. Initially, we have chosen two facilities in Colorado to work with, both of the facilities were chosen for the quality of their botanicals and patient care. We are looking forward to expanding availability to other legal medical marijuana facilities and States along with an increased multiple formulation offerings."

  2. this is another hypocriticial move on our governments part on profiting for big pharmacuticials, the old adage"do as I say,not as I do" they are wanting to profit on both sides of the coin so to speak!

  3. really? dr M stands to make millions…billions possibly. As well as cannabis science. There will be intervention federally as this is not fda approved.I know dr M does great work, but ppl can make this themselves. With some know how and the right materials. Please keep up on this story. I really dont know how i feel about it. If it IS all natural and helps patients then thats all that matters. But wait, is it? Cannabis Science makes Sativex, a nasal spray FDA approved in Canada and places in Europe. So, if in tandem w out FDA, to approve such a drug wld end the stupid war on our medication from the earth. Or would the government then try to control and regulate the entire cannabis industry? Only time will tell, but we must be vigilant. Our grow rights and our patient rights need further protevtion, no matter what mmj state you are in. What do u all think about this?

  4. Cannabis science DOES NOT MAKE SATIVEX, a company in the U.K. GW Pharma, makes it..My advice is to go cannabisscience.com and see for yourself..Dr. Melameade is more interested in curing CANCER, and he has, WITH this formulation..It is made from: Cannabis-Alcohol (which is boiled off)..that's it.If you want to get PO''d at anyone, PETITION YOUR FDA TO ALLOW Dr. Melameda et. al, to CONDUCT the RESEARCH, about which. he has been asking.YOUR FDA has been HIDING CANNABIS and other natural CANCER CURES from us since they began..Their insignia should be a dead baby in front of the Dollar sign..
