Study: Jesus Was a Medical Marijuana User

Okay, everybody needs to head on over to this blog called Patients for Medical Cannabis and read their latest post.

Everybody knows that Jesus performed miracles and healed the sick, and some people know that he used anointing oils and incense in his rituals, but few realize that those oils and incenses actually contained cannabis extracts. Well, at least according to this article from author Chris Bennett.

So Jesus used these oils to anoint the diseased and the were miraculously cured.

The power of Jesus or the power of weed? You be the judge:

The blog post also provides a recipe for your own anointing oil. Pretty awesome! I can't wait to try some of this stuff!

  4. Actually, its kinda true, the ancient Hebrews used Cannabis seeds in the anoiting oil, but as far as curing diseases goes, I call bullshit.
Also, Noone, I'm pretty sure its mentioned somewhere, but its the hebrew name, probably something akin to Kanna Bosm

  5. There's huge amounts of archeological evidence that cannabis/hemp was in wide use throughout the middle east and Africa going back over 5000 years. It had wide use as hemp, alone, for the fibers. It would have been well known in Jesus' time, both as a pain reliever and general medicine for all types of diseases. The psychoactive properties, mild in colder climates but strong in hot climates, may have been considered 'magic', a 'gift from the gods' or simply pleasant. It was called 'Kaneh Bosm' and the name was changed in the King James bible to "calamus", a probable mistranslation. (The 'camel' that was likened to a rich man trying to get through the eye of a needle was a mistranslation of 'rope', words that are very alike in the original Aramaic, and that rope was very likely hemp rope.)

You have to remember that Jesus also drank wine as a matter of daily habit (it was safer than drinking the water, the alcohol killed germs although they did not understand why) and poppy use also goes back hundreds of centuries. The Egyptians worshiped a blue lotus that likely was a psychedelic.

Sorry to break the bubble of the anti-drug religious right, but your religious icons, as well as the Founding Fathers of the US, were drinkers and tokers. Maybe that's why they had so many good ideas...

    1. You didn't burst my bubble. It is modern man and society's rules that it is bad. I personally know it for a fact. and have seen it work for people. People that suffer from Bi-polar do just fine with medical marijuana. There was that little frozen man from the ice age, that had Canabis in his little medicene bag. They also took was and has been translated as "Mandrex". Don't know what it origianlly was. but Mandrex from what I know is a part of the Benzodiazapan drug. Anti Anxiety.

    2. I will burst some bubbles. My research leads me to believe it is highly unlikely calamus is cannabis. Even if it is, reading Exodus 30 it is quite clear:

32 Upon man's flesh shall it not be poured, neither shall ye make any other like it, after the composition of it: it is holy, and it shall be holy unto you.
33 Whosoever compoundeth any like it, or whosoever putteth any of it upon a stranger, shall even be cut off from his people.

  10. Jesus was a brown skinned, long haired, wine swigging, weed smoking, liberal hippie.... Love the water to wine deal~ very cool~!! I'll bet he was a huge hit at parties.... I wonder if he changed some worthless weed, herb whatever ~ into some nice bud too.... He was smart enough not to get married too. Just an all around cool dude, and waaay ahead of his time. He didn't do that "Tebow" bow-kneel deal when he played ball, word has it he thinks it's kinda cheesy- just sayin....
But are you guys serious- there isn't even mention of 420 in the bible?? Not even a picture of Jesus taking a bong hit,,,, Really,, Really.... I wonder if it got lost when Jesus went MIA for about 12 years.... And who wrote all that stuff ~ just some random tweaker dudes ~ sounds like. They really sound like their tripping. Anyhow, pretty much everything else in the big book has been proven- right; or there are pictures, videos, and/or eye witnesses etc., um so yeah where is the proof about Jesus & Marijuana. Nobody ever thought to whip out their cel & be an I-Reporter, I mean that was seriously- big news. Interesting that faith only mixes with religion selectively ~ just like sinning ~ is it a sin, or isn't it?? Just say thirty two Hail Mary's and five Our Father's, and your free to sin for another week.... Thank you father.

    1. Emperor constantine butchered the bible in the 14th century, look at the lost texts, or alleged as they may be, you'll find out a great deal of logic which was lost in translation...

  11. I'm, pretty sure Jesus would have tried lots of that oil until he got the 'kundalini' effect (some call it psychosis but it's not the same underlying process).

To be sure, history and the accepted version of events has been heavily redacted but you can always travel back in time, thanks to your balls, like Jesus did.
