What's More Dangerous: Marijuana or Your Stupid Article?

This is a bud of Acapulco Gold marijuana variety
The website CNYCentral.com featured a story today that poses the question: What's more dangerous, marijuana or alcohol?

This story is a waste of time. There is no debate. Anyone with half a brain and two eyes can see that alcohol is much more dangerous than marijuana.

Thousands of people die every day because of alcohol. The World Health Organization estimates that 2.5 million people die every year from alcohol-related causes. And a study completed last year by WebMD.com showed that no one has ever died from marijuana.

I think the numbers tell the tale. What would you consider more dangerous? Something that kills 2.5 million people a year, or something that kills no one.

I'm always happy to see the truth about marijuana featured in the mainstream media, but this question is just not worth debating and apparently most people know that.

CNY Central ran a poll along with their story asking readers which drug they think is more dangerous and they overwhelmingly picked alcohol. In fact, 90 percent of them said that marijuana is safer.

Well duh.
