'Marijuana Grannies' Busted With 800 Plants

Police responded to a San Bruno, Calif. May 5 after neighbors reported seeing two men breaking down the front door of a residence occupied by two elderly ladies.

Police were able to nab the two would-be burglars who were found with $3,000 in cash, marijuana packaging materials and seven pills of ecstasy.

When officers returned to the home they found a marijuana growing operation consisting of 800 plants and an illegal electrical set-up that stole power from Pacific Gas & Electric.

Two senior citizens, Aleen Lam, 72, and Virginia Chan Pon, 65, were arrested for cultivating marijuana.

It's good to see the elderly keeping busy.
